From working alongside Hip Hop Saves Lives organization to our own Barber Scholarship program, we believe in giving young people the tools they need to succeed and create positive change in their communities. With our Free Haircuts initiative, we go into underprivileged neighborhoods around the world to give free haircuts to kids while engaging them in conversation about the social issues they face. Here is how it all started!
I am The President of Hip Hop Saves Lives Europe. We teach Hip Hop through humanity throughout school districts around the world. Doing productive workshops with the youth to help empower them and build their self esteem. I am the founder of The Dutch New Yorker Barber Scholarship program in Uganda, Africa. Which funds young adults to learn the trade of barbering and helps with job placement. Since the beginning of my career as a professional barber, I had the opportunity to give free haircuts to refugees, struggling youth, homeless people, and the less fortunate. I have always saw music & barbering as a powerful way to change my life and those around me.
I am now travelling the world to a city near you teaching hip hop through humanity workshops in collaboration with Hip Hop Saves Lives & empowering youth and their self esteem through The Dutch New Yorker Free Haircuts. This means a lot to me, to make a safe creative space for everyone.

Subliminal Collective: Music for Community
Welcome to Subliminal Collective, a creation born from the depths of passion and a vision to redefine the landscape of electronic music experiences. As the founder, I envisioned more than just events; I envisioned a collective—a community forged in the crucible of adversity, a space where beats intertwine with stories, and where creativity knows no bounds.
The Idea Behind Subliminal:
Subliminal Collective emerged during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, turning adversity into opportunity. It started as a series of illegal raves, a lifeline thrown into the void when the need for connection was paramount. The idea was simple yet profound—to have a donation based event to create a safe haven where techno pulses met the heartbeat of community, and where everyone can have the opportunity to experience a headlining club lineup. Know matter your financial situation, sexual gender, race or creed maybe. The donations fund these big name exclusive events.

Jacob serving as a partner and president of Hip Hop Saves Lives Europe, has worked tirelessly to help the organization reach a wider audience and make a greater impact in communities across the globe. Jacob's contributions include branding and marketing support, event organization, and the creation of innovative programs like the Barber Scholarship initiative and Free Haircuts program. His dedication and expertise have helped Hip Hop Saves Lives grow and evolve, making a real difference in the lives of young people around the world.

The Dutch New Yorker Free Haircuts
The Dutch New Yorker Free Haircuts started in 2017 in New York City giving free haircuts to kids helping build their self esteem and speaking to them about social issues they are dealing with. We are here to give these youth a positive outlet and a platform to speak their mind. There is no better place than in a barber chair. Since 2017 we have been able to travel to 18 Countries giving free haircuts to youth around the world and helping “shape up” our next generation.
